Véronique Yoboué is a Full Professor and has served as President of Nangui Abrogoua University since 2024. A specialist in atmospheric pollution and environmental physical chemistry, she coordinates several international research projects, leads the Aerosols and Pollution research team at LASMES, Université Félix Houphouët-Boigny (UFHB), and actively promotes the participation of women in science. She also serves as the Côte d’Ivoire Co-Coordinator of IPORA WP3.

Professor at the Center for Food Science & Nutrition at Addis Ababa University – Ethiopia

Kaleab Baye is a Full Professor of Human Nutrition, former Director of the Center for Food Science and Nutrition (2016-19) at Addis Ababa University. He holds a PhD in Nutrition and Health from the University of Montpellier, France. Prof. Baye’s research interests are maternal and child nutrition, micronutrients, and interventions to improve diet quality. Prof. Baye is serving as a Deputy Editor of the journal Public Health Nutrition and is a member of the editorial board of Global Food Security. He has served as a guest editor for journals like Maternal and Child Nutrition, Current Developments in Nutrition, Frontiers Public Health, and Agriculture and Food Economics. Prof Baye served as a member of expert panels and advisory boards to institutions like the WHO, UNICEF and the Rockefeller Foundation. Prof. Baye co-leads the food systems working group of the Interdisciplinary Policy Oriented Research for Africa (IPORA) programme.

Yousra Abourabi is Associate Professor of Political Science and International Relations at Sciences Po Rabat (International University of Rabat) and an Associate Researcher at the Les Afriques dans le Monde (LAM) research center, Sciences Po Bordeaux. She is currently pursuing her Habilitation à Diriger les Recherches (HDR) at Sciences Po Bordeaux. Her research focuses on African environmental governance, climate governance, knowledge production, African agency in international relations, and the circulation of norms and public policies across the African continent. She is the author of several books and articles on African governance, Morocco’s African policy, migration, and climate governance.

Thierry Lessoy Zoue is a Senior Lecturer in Food Science and Nutrition at Félix Houphouët-Boigny University in Côte d’Ivoire. His research focuses primarily on the valorization of agricultural resources through food processing and preservation, and the analysis of the determinants of food insecurity and malnutrition in the African context.

Claire Gondard is a assistant professor in development economics at BSE (University of Bordeaux, CNRS, INRAE) and an associate researcher at UMI SOURCE (UVSQ and IRD – Institut de Recherche pour le Développement). Her research focuses on social protection and development aid in Africa. She is the principal investigator of the research projects DynAtsimo and Pacte Vert Résilience, which aim to develop an observatory of development dynamics in Southern Madagascar and to support action-oriented research. She coordinates the Master’s program in “Design and Management of Development and Emergency Projects” at the University of Bordeaux.

Professor of Private Law at University of Bordeaux – France

Jérôme Porta is a Professor of Private Law and Criminal Sciences at the University of Bordeaux, where he teaches Labour Law, International Social Law, and Comparative Law. He is a member of COMPTRASEC (Centre for Comparative Labour Law and Social Security Studies, UMR CNRS 5114), one of the leading French research centres dedicated to the comparative study of labour law and social protection systems. His research focuses particularly on the transformations of labour law in the context of globalization, fundamental rights at work, and comparative law methodologies. Since 2020, he has led the research project “Labour Rights in Africa” (LABAFRICA, University of Bordeaux), which examines labour legislation and labour justice in West Africa, with particular attention to the methodological challenges surrounding the concept of “informal work”. He also conducts research on labour inspection and informal employment in Africa (Morocco and Côte d’Ivoire) within the framework of the IPORA programme and has co-supervised a joint PhD thesis on these topics with Alassane Ouattara University (Bouaké, Côte d’Ivoire).

Jean-Noël Ferrié is Emeritus Research Director at the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS). He is a specialist in governance, the dynamics of normativity, public and migration policies in Africa, with particular expertise in Morocco, Egypt, and Senegal, as well as in the epistemology and history of the social sciences. He is also Honorary Dean of the Institute of Political Studies at the International University of Rabat.

Chercheure associée à l’UFHB et impliquée dans plusieurs projets africains et internationaux, elle contribue au programme IPORA en tant qu’assistante des coordinateurs WP3/WP5 et co-responsable de l’axe pollution.

Auriane Pajot is currently a postdoctoral researcher in public health and epidemiology, working on several interdisciplinary projects focused on the impact of air pollution on respiratory health, particularly among vulnerable populations in West Africa. Her research also explores post-tuberculosis respiratory sequelae in relation to environmental and air pollution exposures.

Joanna Orne-Gliemann is a Senior Scientist at the University of Bordeaux with a broad background in public health and social sciences. Her research focuses on multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary approaches to understanding the barriers and facilitators to integrating new interventions for tuberculosis, malaria, and other poverty-related diseases into routine health services. She has extensive expertise in implementation research and a particular interest in translating research findings into practice and informing public policy.

Aristophane Tanon is a researcher and lecturer in Medical Sciences at Félix Houphouët-Boigny University (UFHB), specializing in Infectious and Tropical Diseases. He has collaborated on several research projects with ANRS and IeDEA in the fields of HIV infection, cancer, and mental health. He has been involved in IPORA, specifically within WP4 (research-based training), for the past five years.

His research focuses on health economics, particularly time-and-motion analyses, cost-effectiveness studies, and interdisciplinary approaches to tuberculosis in Africa.

Dr. Raoul D. Moh is a physician with a master’s degree and a doctorate in public health and epidemiology. He is a researcher at Félix Houphouët-Boigny University in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, within the Dermatology and Infectious Diseases Teaching Unit. He currently serves as the Executive Director of the PAC-CI Program, a health research program, and of the international global health research platform (PRISME-CI). His research and scientific interests focus on therapeutic strategies for people living with HIV, comorbidities (tuberculosis, viral hepatitis, prevention of cardiovascular diseases), aging, and operational research on health systems and capacity building. He has coordinated several national and international clinical trials.

Oussama Marrouni Alami is currently the Director of Support Services within the College of Social Sciences and a researcher and faculty member at the International University of Rabat (UIR), College of Engineering and Architecture, School of Aerospace and Automotive Engineering. He is the Co-Lead of the IPORA Morocco programme and serves as Co-Coordinator of WP2. He is also responsible for managing UIR’s international university rankings portfolio. Previously, he served as Research and Development Project Management Office (PMO) Manager at both the International University of Rabat (UIR) and Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P). He also spent several years as Head of the PMO at NOVEC, one of Morocco’s leading engineering firms. Oussama Marrouni Alami holds a PhD in Industrial Engineering from Hassan II University, a State Engineering degree in Industrial Engineering from the Mohammadia School of Engineers, an MBA from Al Akhawayn University, and a Certificate in Strategic and Economic Intelligence from the École de Guerre Économique in Paris. He is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).

Tanguy Bernard is Professor of Economics at the University of Bordeaux. His research focuses on sub-Saharan Africa, addressing food security and rural poverty in connection with agriculture and markets, as well as behavioural questions such as the formation of aspirations and intra-household decision-making. He is a Senior Fellow of the Institut Universitaire de France (IUF), a fellow of EUDN, a founding member of AFEDEV, and an Affiliated Professor at J-PAL. Before joining the University of Bordeaux, he was a Senior Research Fellow at the International Food Policy Research Institute, based in Ethiopia and Senegal.

He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Hacettepe University, Turkey, and currently serves as a faculty member at the Department of Economics, Addis Ababa University and WP1 deputy coordinator in the IPORA project. Dr. Hussein specializes in political economy and institutional economics and economic policy analysis, focusing on the intersection of economic theory and real-world policy challenges.
