Summer School

The population of Africa in 2050: challenges and potentials, interdisciplinary perspectives
  • Stakeholders and participants from the 4 founding universities of IPORA
  • 21 participants (8 from UBx, 4 from UFHB, 4 from UIR, 1 from UUA, 4 others)
  • Procedure: Interdisciplinary tutoring sessions, debates, and working groups. The themes of the tutored projects are related to IPORAs research priorities.

Interdisciplinary Certificate

 

This certificate, issued by the College of Doctoral Schools of the University of Bordeaux, is now organized every year from October to March, remotely.

  • With the support of the Africa Graduate Program (Africa GP) of the University of Bordeaux.
  • Objectives: To acquire knowledge about the challenges of African transitions; to become familiar with the different approaches and interdisciplinary dialogues.
  • Teachers from the 3 Masters at UB and Sciences Po: global health, development economics, political science.
  • 12 participants

Course:

  • Disciplinary opening course: Migrations in Africa (Political Science); Challenges of Urbanization in Africa (Development Economics); Health and Urbanization (Public Health).
  • Interdisciplinary seminars led by UB researchers and those from outside
  • Tutored interdisciplinary projects, linked to the IPORA research priorities.
